Riders covered 202.7 km in a high-mountain stage full of spectacle and excitement until the very end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After several intermediate climbs, the peloton faced the feared <strong>Angliru<\/strong> ascent, with gradients of up to 23%. In the final kilometers, only the top favorites remained: Jo\u00e3o Almeida, Jonas Vingegaard, Sepp Kuss, and Jai Hindley.
